I am a wife, mother of two littles, a certified personal trainer through NSCA, a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner through the NTA and I am a Hair and Tissue Mineral analysts. After years of binge and restrictive eating behaviors, over exercising, chronic stimulant and western medicine user, difficulty getting pregnant and a tough delivery and post partum period I knew something was foundationally off. I wanted and deserved to feel better and feel like myself again. I turned to an NTP after years of trying everything else. She helped take me back to the basics and I began to heal myself form the inside out. I was amazed at how simple the philosophy was. Food is medicine. You must support the whole body through whole foods. I quickly realized I was depleted of key nutrients and minerals, my blood sugar handling was out of control and my digestion needed some attention. After years of reversing chronic health symptoms by getting to the root cause of my health I am passionate about helping other people do the same. Coming from the lens that food was the enemy it took a while for me to learn and accept that food is a nourishing and loving thing we can use to care for ourselves. It is possible to learn how to use food properly and make it work for you and not against you. I want you to feel and find the freedom and live and thrive the way you were created and intended to live.
Nutritional Therapy is an approach that honors our bio-individuality and focuses on our individual genetic makeup, lifestyle, and our unique needs. Generally, the Nutritional Therapy approach aims to balance the foundational pillars of health: diet, digestion, blood sugar handling, fatty acid balance, mineral balance, hydration, sleep and stress. By addressing foundational areas specific to your needs, the body will heal, nutritional imbalances and deficiencies will improve, and overall health will be optimized.
However, since we focus on the needs of each individual, there is no “one size fits all” approach when it comes to our client’s health and their unique needs. We use many different tools to fully evaluate your personal current health status and determine what specific foundations you personally need to balance.
The hair tissue mineral analysis test is one of the most helpful, but under-
utilized, functional labs available. By taking a small (1 tsp) sample of your hair that is closest to the roots, and sending it to a lab to get analyzed, we are able to get back a large amount of data to use in determining how to support your body's needs. The hair sample is essentially a biopsy of your cellular activity during the last 8-12 weeks and can show us how well your body is handling stress, if your digestive system needs support, if your thyroid needs support, as well as how quickly your body is using up important mineral stores that keep hormones and many other things producing and running properly. One of the most affordable functional tests out there, it is a GREAT option to get some very specific data on your body so that we don't have to just guess about what is going on. We can see exactly how your cells are responding to food, lifestyle, and stress and work toward replenishing and balancing the minerals that could be at the root cause of your health issues.
Personal Training since 2011 and it has been one my biggest joys and blessings. I coached for ten years as a head cycling coach and lead the strength program development for a boutique HIIT gym in Nashville, TN, as well as personal training in one of the city’s top functional fitness facilities. Along with training celebrities and influencers, I have developed effective and efficient programs for ranging populations from mothers and moms to be to high professional doctors and lawyers in Nashville. I currently do one on one and small group training in my local area as well as offer virtual sessions for in town clients who want to save drive time as well as those who live out of my current state.
A seasoned cycling, HIIT, and strength instructor I also have expertise in pre and postnatal fitness. I have years of experience with health and lifestyle coaching, helping dozens reach weight loss and fitness goals by discovering that true change lies within themselves one small tweak at a time.
